Mr. Akingbade holds a Higher National Diploma in Insurance from Lagos State Polytechnic and MBA with specialization in Financial Management from Lagos State University. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.  He qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.

He started his working career in 1989 with Hogg Robinson Nigeria Limited and had worked at management level with notable insurance companies including Equity Assurance Plc from where he joined Sterling Assurance Nigeria Limited.

Mr. Akingbade has a wide experience in all facets of insurance business and has attended various management courses.
