KOLA JAMES ADEWUMI

Mr. Adewumi Kola James began his career as a teacher before pursuing higher education at the University of Ibadan, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology in 1984. He furthered his professional qualifications by becoming an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria in 2003.

His insurance career started at ACEN Insurance Company in the Administration and Technical Department. In March 2003, he transitioned to Universe Reinsurance Company and later joined Sterling Assurance Nigeria Limited following a merger in January 2007.

Mr. Adewumi possesses extensive expertise in underwriting, claims administration, and reinsurance practices, enhanced by numerous training programs attended both locally and internationally. He currently holds the position of Assistant General Manager and Head of the Technical Department at Sterling Assurance Nigeria Limited.
